First day of school and learning how to ride a 2 wheeler!

This is news from last month but I wanted to post it anyway.

A few weeks ago, Jon took off training wheels and fixed the boys flat tires then took them next door to the church parking lot to teach them how to ride a bike. We had made Caleb a deal a couple weeks previously, that if he learned how to ride a bike before the summer was over, we would get him a new bike for his birthday. Well, it didn't take but Caleb getting on the bike, getting a few pointers from Dad before he was off and riding like a pro! I couldn't believe that he was riding a 2-wheeler just like that!

Logan, seeing his brother was anxious to try and did awesome! He kept practicing and is almost there. I know the next time we take time with him, he will up and riding on his own. We were so proud of them both.

Logan is in his 2nd year of preschool and loves it...We love it too because he's still too little for kindergarten, so Mommy gets him home another year before he heads off to the big school. He is smart and learning lots!

Caleb started first grade this year! He likes it so far especially because he gets to eat lunch at school. However, the full-day thing was an adjustment. The 3rd day into his first week he crashed on our couch with cars in his hands attempting to play but was so tired.

He has been in school a month now and is getting used to full day. As for me, I am still having a hard time with my big/little boy entering a new stage in his life. I have to admit I do miss him during the day...Logan & Brook don't know quite what to do with themselves.

It's such a bitter-sweet thing when we see our babies growing up. (Not to mention how old it makes us feel.)
