Logan's eye surgery

Logan had his eye surgery a couple days ago on Wednesday. This first picture is when we first got to primary children's hospital.

When they took us back to get "vitals," Logan started to get a little nervous; but he was very cooperative.

This is when the Dr. Petersen came out to talk to Logan and mark his right eye for surgery. The nurse gave Logan some medicine to help relax and make him sleepy, so he got to pick a wagon to ride in to the surgery room.

Then the Anesthesiologist came to take Logan back to the operating room. He got to push the double door button.
Logan was given the "sleeping" medicine through a mask and then they put his IV in after he fell asleep so he didn't feel any pain.

This is when he came out of surgery five minutes after he woke up. He was still a bit out of it but gave a smile for the picture. He did such a good job and was very brave. The nurse said that he was such an angel waking up and was very impressed at how well he could talk and answer questions right after waking up. We were very proud of him and glad that it is all over.

This is when we were discharged from the hospital. We were glad to come home. Logan did awesome and everything is back to normal.

Though we're still paying for it, the surgery was well needed and worth it. He had a blocked tear duct and had to have it "probed" with a tube and balloon. The actual surgery only took 23minutes but the prep and recovery was a lot longer. His eye looks great now.
